Impact World Tour !

Hey peep's just wondering, I have been hearing alot about this and I saw the adds on TV and just wondering are any of you going to this to see what it's like.

I was thinking of going maybe on Friday night to the Hutt to check it out and see what all the hype and glammer is about.

let me know your thoughts and if you have seen it what you thought of it.

check link below for scheduled.

http://www.iwt.co.nz/schedule.html

Impact World Tour was founded in 1993 in Wisconsin, USA and has grown to be the largest travelling campaign of its type in the world. The Tour has the power to transform communities and it particularly addresses youth on contemporary issues.

Professional performances feature world-class extreme athletes and cultural artists. Local people contribute funds and provide some infrastructure as well as run ongoing programs.

IWT has been invited into communities throughout New Zealand by regional Maori leadership and civic leaders. New Zealand is IWT’s first-ever nationwide campaign. The Tour will begin in January 2004 and will move throughout the country for four months, visiting over 40 cities and towns during that time.

IWT New Zealand brings a positive message of hope and destiny to New Zealanders - while at the same time providing an evening of unique, quality entertainment, suitable for all ages.

Religion is a personal thing and anyone who makes a big fuss and deal out of it must be prepared to accept that not everyone shares their views.

Personally, I don't care for anything church backed or sponsored as everything is sanitized to a point and entertainment is used to mask the purpose of the event-To publicise their agenda.

JESUS CHRIST TO THE X-MAX!! EXXXTREME!!! y0!
RADICAL! BODACIOUS!! PRAISE THE LORD!!

notice how they use advertising aimed at young ones to try and mask the religion of it.

imho, if people want religion, it doesnt need to be masked by extreme sports.

imagine if evel knievel had been holy knoly- "jumping 17 busses for jesus"

I think its pretty cool at showing that you can be a Christian without wearing clothes that smell like mothballs, hitting everybody witha bible.

It is an event that is there for the Christians, just like David Bowie coming for the Bowie Fans, There will be Non diehard bowie fans going, just like there will be Non Christians going to IWT, should you miss such an event because of your clossed minded veiws then thats a shame for you.

There is more to it than being bibled bashed, You can always jsut leave at the end should you wish to avaoid the preaching bit.
But certainly dont miss some of the stuff for the reason that its a Christian event, the moto X stuff is pretty impressive wherever its being held IMO.

There's some freestyle Moto X thing this very weekend in Welly, without the god squads assistance fortunately. Hataitai velodrome I think.

I'm not "closed minded", by the way. I just prefer to make my own decisions without someone else telling me what to think.

good on them for making their messages modern, and making it a fun way to learn about their beliefs, if you don't beleieve that your choice but don't knock them for their choice. and at least they are having fun doin it.

i had a chance to meet some of their directors and trustees, (cause i sold them two vehicles) they are nice people
