i dont know anything about them though. i just went to repco and said gimmie somethin that will do this and this was what they handed me.
Well if it says it's for efi that must be ok, but those pigtails sure don't look very trustworthy.
Yeah i know what you mean about the pump, I used the stock in-tank pump to fill a surge, the filter is mounted before the main pump after the surge tank.

Re: edelbrock performer X intake manifold.

Those pigtails look the same as the fuel pump connections.

Also the return on the stock FPR has the same fitting.

should be sweet, just use a good clamp (OEM just uses spring tension clamps not even that good and hold up well)

Only on the low pressure side, the fuel pump has a screw in connection on the high pressure side and the fuel return off the FPR is low pressure too, all the OEM high pressure fittings are either screw in like a brake line or a banjo fitting with aluminum crush washers.

On an external aftermarket pump like a bosch for instance the inlet will be a low pressure fitting and the out let will either be screw in or a barbed push-lock type fitting.

Re: edelbrock performer X intake manifold.

many other car brands use those style fuel filters & clamped fuel lines.
RWD Nissan, RBs, SRs & CAs use those & simple screw clamps, as said above, will be more then adequate

Yep, was just looking at a 180sx pump in the weekend, same fittings on both in and out.

dunno why they are fine like that, yet they are crush washer and banjo at the motor.
who knows.

Re: edelbrock performer X intake manifold.

They are different on the motor due to heat and vibration.

I've had braided line clamped on with those little glorified worm drive clips (anodized hoses finishers) and no problem. I wouldn't advocate for it though

Re: edelbrock performer X intake manifold.

on the fuel filter, the first thing i noticed was the inlet/outlet is a lot smaller. is this gona hamper your fuel flow/pressure/power potential?

Re: edelbrock performer X intake manifold.

nope. its actually bigger than the fuel rail bore and is the same as the inside of the hoses.
