Re: NZEFI Dyno tuning

Mixed results really. Some people have had good results, some not so good. IE, Necro had a whole bag of problems with his B18CR EJ coupe.

I'd recommend giving John @ Spec a call as well to see how they can help with your application.

Re: NZEFI Dyno tuning

They have tuned my car a couple of times
Results were good enough I did have some idling issues but they sorted them out and car runs good.
Was more to do with my set up - injectors and I am running a microtech
They are good to deal with and as above know alot about Link's

Re: NZEFI Dyno tuning

Was planning on getting my VAFC tuned there, but they reccon over $400 just for a simple tune of it which is a bit on the steep side (two other people I know had theirs tuned there for under $200). Not sure where I'll go now as Spec don't like to awnser their phone

RE Sinclair are apparently quite good with ApexI based systems, they have tuned a couple of them in mates cars with good results. I would also contact Spec.

Re: NZEFI Dyno tuning

Umm... what - the - hell?

He is using a Apexi PowerFC, which Spec and RE Sinclair are more experienced with than NZEFI. Had be been using Autotronic, Microtec, or Link, then I would recommend him to use NZEFI. However, that is not the case. Seriously aye?! There is nothing wrong with rolling roads, they are used by some of the top tuning companies in Australia and USA. It so happens that Dynapack are a NZ based company, so it is safe to assume they will provide a more competitive pricing structure for their products to the NZ market. Then there is the "support NZ products" aspect.

pretty deep he's gagging right now..

but really i think if you have good experiences at places you dont tell many people.. but bad experiences get around..

he's just trying to share obviously the good time that he had at spec's
