EK civic ghetto intake

Hi, I was going to get a spoon direct air flow pipe but that cost a bit much, so here is my intake setup for EK civic owners wanting to retain their stock airbox.

I'm using an ITR stock intake arm which has been cut and fitted to a 3 inch straight pipe, remove the lower resonator box with cold air feed to the airbox. Its work great and still have that stock look and doesn't cost too much to put together.

How did you get rid of the side on the left of the airbox?

Do you mean the middle pipe (upper resonator box) in link below??? It just come apart from the intake tube and intake box, it's only held in place by the rubber joiner to the intake and a couple screws on the chassis.

Ooh I see, so you will need to have a pipe to join it if removed.

Awesome, i've always pondered about that!

Yeah that right, can still work with the stock EK intake pipe but i found the ITR intake pipe to be a bit bigger in diameter and more angle toward the EK airbox. Or you can invest in a spoon direct air flow pipe, prefect fitment and looks bling but does cost a bit.

Looks cool mate. Good idea. I've got the Spoon one, not cheap but hella bling and good quality. Has alot more torque then a pod type setup, not as much top end though. Definetly the pick of the intakes for daily driver. Mugen would still be better but i love the Spoon system.
