Location: Tauranga | Re: Crome lauch control if your car is chipped and tuned with crome this feature can EASILY be added. can do full boost launch but requires A LOT more playing around to build boost perfectly. or you can be all gangstar and make your N.A honda shoot flames on the launch for ignition retard (ment for boost building ) |

buggerits n/a so i won't be boosting hmm last option sounds cool but wouldn't that be bad for my car? so tianporn should be able to help aye, i'll give him a pm,but on another note what would be a good rpm to launch at? i've played around (with out launch control) with different rpms from 3000-4500 and i just get the mad wheel spin, what do ya reckon?

Location: Tauranga | Re: Crome lauch control I never use launch control in crome using the speed sensor method. that means when ever the car is stationary it will hit a lower revlimter of what ever you want (say 6k) but what if the track is sticky, what if you change tyres etc etc. I don't beleive in them, just use your foot ![]() Now building boost on the line, thats effective ![]() |

it will mean if you want a set limit of 6000rpm for launch control. that is static and the value is burnt to a chip. if you are at the strip and find 6k is not enough you are stuffed. (you cannot control it with the turn of a dial, it is written to the actual chip inside the ecu) Actually there maybe a way to activate launch control with the push of a button like the A/C swtich BUT it will still only be set at the static rpm you set before burning the chip

Systems like gizzmo launch control are much better because they can be adjusted at the track; and you can rig them up to easily disable it while stationary for your burnouts.

Location: Tauranga | Re: Crome lauch control Crome gold, you can have it turned off for burnouts etc, you could do this with crome it would just take some setting up. Only advantage of revlimit launch control is for building boost. Otherwise for N.A just feel what the track is doing and go for it ![]() |

Location: Tauranga | Re: Crome lauch control me, locust 2000, python few others i guess. Anyone who has actually paid for crome can use crome gold P.S if you have a crome tuned car not on gold, it would need a quick retune as they are quite different. I.E injector pulse is slightly different even when using the same raw value in the map. Ask questions on pgmfi.org for launch control activation |

for gear it takes the RPM of the motor and looks at the vehicle speed then works out what gear you MUST be in. I.E 3000rpm at 25kph you must be in 1st etc if you change gearboxes you can setup the gear tables differently hondas don't work out "load" as such, just manifold pressure. Air flow meter cars work out "load"

Location: Tauranga | Re: Crome lauch control uhhhh I launch mine at 6000-7000 and get some wheel spin with hoosiers. ![]() It's only good for building boost, the track can be different each time so you need to change your launch RPM each time. Not hard to hold your foot where it needs to be |
