right, engines almost complete, just needs to have the vp clearance and the timing done. Just to make sure though...should i be getting the timing down by a real performance rebuilder/place like spec2, speedfactory or beyond motorworks etc, or is it all good to be getting the rebuilders (drury engine reconditioners) who have done all the work on the block, to do the timing?

thought i might do a full list of what im running, see what your guys thoughts are, whether i should/shouldnt be running something etc. so here it is

B18c block, balanced, bored, all measurements, clearances done
81.5mm B16B pistons, nippon rings to fit
shotpeened rods
polished crank
King race main & big end bearings
ITR flywheel, skimmed, balanced
new oem headgasket
B18c head, completely rebuilt
stage III port & polish
Blox Ti retainers, dual valve springs
Blox HSL cams
Blox cam gears
Blox adj FPR
standard b18c intake mani, h22a injectors, resistor pack.
all new seals, gaskets

to go with it i have got a 2.5inch full straight through stainless steel exhaust with N1 muffler.

Need ideas on intake, TB size, headers(4-1 OR 4-2-1), ignition and anything else thats necesarry

thnx

haha thats awesome! with the ropes, multipul wrappings etc

in the future it maybe easier to put a bolt in the back of the head on the cambelt side.

link a seat belt from the gearbox hanger across to that bolt in the head.
Then lift from the seat belt.

nice and safe.

better still swap seatbelt, for chain.

heres a good effort from nocert/sean

not a good pic but camera died after that. the Honda badge and word - he grinded off and polished surface so its smooth and flat. cant see it but a bit has been grinded off on the side so that the cam pulleys can be seen.
Its really bugging me though cause i still dont know what im gona do with the rocker cover, its going to be sandblasted though.

I wana know what you guys recon i should do with it...should i get the "dohc vtec" grinded off and smoothened out or keep it?
and should i keep the surface rough from the sandblast and then paint it?
or sandblast it then sand it down to smoothen in and then paint?
any suggestions on colours?
another possibilty is to get it smoothened and polished and cromed.

i know...ridiculous putting this much thought into a rocker cover haha but i got noting to do right now til engine is ready, and i want rocker cover to look good

heres the latest. still waiting on motor! in the meantime thought i might make some weight reduction. carpet gone, spare wheel gone, inner back panels, backseats, and prety much all sound deadening. As for the sound deadening of the VTiR, it was the same everywhere as imports except on both sides right up front, which was a thick as fuck and a bitch to remove. So far car has lost about 50kg including air con. Still to go is the sunroof and hopefully a little bit from headers and exhaust, plus all the other little things that add up. hoping to get it to weight about the same as an ITR - 1080ish.

someone lend this chap a multimetre.
he needs to know what ohms his injectors are, that way he will know to run a resistor pack or not. Also I can make the correct basemap for him.

low ohm prelude injectors are 330cc
high ohm after 1997 prelude injectors are 290cc

makes a difference
