Hey guys,

I own an EF9 and have had it for many years. The final stage has been the motor. I also wanted to keep it B16a so i could have a crack outta of getting some decent power out of the B16a. Its sat in the car for more than 18 months and has only been started and never run in. But today it finally went into Andre@Speedtech for the tune of its life.

get the results tomorrow.

I'll give you the run down of the engine so post your comments and questions and have a go!

Old engine produced 107kw@7774rpm this was on the Chequered Flag dyno.

New engine specs:

b16a2
skunk2 stage3 cams
skunk2 high compression valves
skunk2 dual valvesprings
skunk2 titanium retainers
toda camgears (gen1)
84mm JE forged high-comp pistons
darton sleeves
rage block guard
ITR 4-2-1 manifold

gsr injectors
skunk2 pro-series intake manifold
blox racing 76mm throttle body
hondata intake gasket
ITR fuel Pressure Regulator

Some sort of headwork, ie not telling

Pics up tomorrow.

Post your prediction please too.

Bens (Loggers) B16a EF9 made something like 122kw atw at speedfactor, stock bottom end and ITR cams with IHE. Then he put CTR pistons in.

Obviously different dyno's though.

cheers konig. all will be revealed tomorrow when i can the dyno sheet back.

whats the current top kw b16a around these parts anyway...

it is similar to monsterbishis bar the bottom end and cams. so if hes got 124kw we should be around that or a bit more..

84mm in a B16 makes it 1.8L, not really comparable to a true B16A though..

But then again you are playing with the B16s baby stroke

you didn't mention what it is being tuned with
without that its too hard to guess, thats why monsterbishi's motor never made crazy powahh cause it didn't have a decent ECU, just VAFC I believe

id be happy with 135kw. it would be pretty good to get that sort of number from a b16a.
