Fitting pod filter to stock F20A intake

Hey, I've seen a couple of CB Accords with pod filters on the stock intake. I own a NZ CB3 and I want to know how to attach a pod to the stock plastic intake. I need to know:

-what I have to remove [i.e vacuum box, resonator, etc]
-what I have to do with the electrical connector attached to the vacuum box
-what I can use to cap the thing the line from the vacuum box attaches to at the intake manifold

I'm not exactly clued up about this so sorry if i sound dumb.

Pretty simple. Remove big box, replace with small filter ;D

What about the vacuum box and lower resonator, should I just leave them in?

Get rid of all that crap too. Just get one that fits on that diameter, or get a reducer that goes from 3" to stock diameter and use that.

you can leave the resonator box in or take it out to make room for a cold air feed

there is something on the intake mani that feeds from the intake pipe before the throttle body but if youre replacing with an aftermarket pipe designed for your accord then there should be a barb on it to reattach this to

dont stress about the electrical connector down by the resonator box, just leave it unattached

Cheers, VTAKYO and jm_h22a

would covering up the port where the vacuum box hose connects to the throttle body cause an idling problem?

PVC Pipe works well for my CB 8) Rip everything out and put it between Filter and factory intake pipe.

Cheers - good to know it works 8) I've heard of a lot of people using PVC and spraypainting it black. Maybe I'll paint a length of PVC electric blue and write AEM on it ha ha
BTW did your CB sound gruntier with the pod or just like a vacuum cleaner?

F20A5 engine with a short ram makes a very grunty induction noise, far louder than my H22A!

Cool! Mine's a F20A5. Do you think the F20 is louder cos the intake is shorter than an H22?

Yeah, I'll have to take off the towbar though (not that it'd matter cos I dont own a caravan or trailer ), its got a dog leg that runs under the stock twin pipes and you can't fit anything more than 2" in the gap!

Has anyone got a spare set of factory wheels for a CB?
