B16a1 and B16a2 blocks and heads

Is there any difference between the Block and the head of the a1 vs the a2 head and block, I talking bare blocks and heads ie no cams no pistons just complety bare.

I believe there is only a slight difference in the castings of the bare head and block. Nothing that will make a difference.
