First mods and dyno results

I have just done some first mods to my 94 dc2 si and thought i would post them up.

Mods are:
CAI-aem
4-1s-Pro-1
2.5 zorst straight with just a muffler
Fuel rail and adj regulator
adj cam gears-skunk
hondata intake gasket

other than that stock

Dyno Dynamics results

First run with just the mods on at factory settings = 117.9kw

Last run with, tune fuel and cam gears = 129.0kw

Car goes mean as but is very loud

sir-gee: im not sure what the factory kw at wheels is but i have seen 98kw from a vtir in a performance car mag. So i guess its around there

garg: set me back 600, you could probly get similar for half that

For every one just remeber that dyno readings are different on different dyno's, and with different ratio's etc.. there is up to 20wkw difference between dyno brands...
But never the less its a good gain to get... If you do future mods, try to use the same dyno, so you can compare the results..

Fuel rails and reg is a good upgrade the factory ones tend to fluctuate at high rev's same as the factory coils etc.. Plus you can up the fuel pressure and then re-tune the car with a fuel controller, also having the cam gears makes a big difference.. I just fitted some gears to my drag civic, when the dyno finally gets done I will post up the dyno charts showing the difference they made, on the butt-o-meter its quite alot..

But there are alot of little things you can do as cheap upgrades to gain 2-10hp.. Inlet manifold Gaskets add about 5hp across the entire rev range.. for $100 plus fitting its a good cheap power maker thats overlooked alot..

Where was this dyno'd? Are you running a VAFC or chip?
Those are impressive gains for the mods you stated

This was dynoed at Beyond2, I think their dyno isn't too old so i think it might be accurate, but who knows

I forgot to mention i have a hondata intake gasket aswell, just after reading nonvtecs post.

It has the factory ecu and no vafc

Im thinking of upgrading to gizzmo after pulling out the ac , ps

From what I have seen from the beyond dyno those results are higher then most type R tegs, Personally doubt the fuel rail or regulator would make 1hp difference with those kind of mods. Is this power at the wheels?? Impressive.

yea power at the wheels, the people at beyond said those mods on another b18 wouldnt make that much and that it was making good power.
I will get it dynod again soon when i get some more stuff in there.

yea i can feel the xtra power, the telling sign is that it spins all the way through second now when nutting it. Before it kind of just chirped a bit on the shift. Other thing i noticed is that it seems as though it takes a bit longer to rev at hi revs and is getting heaps more power.
