VAFC install...

Going to get this 2nd hand VAFC for my 98 spec ITR, but it doesn come with the manual or wiring diagram.

Does the manaul and ECU diagram from http://www.apexi-usa.com/ applicable to my teggy?

coz I would imagine ECU from two countries MAY be differernt

the ecu wiring should be the same.. (sometimes varies a tiny bit) but just use the diagrams on the apex-i site.

beyond are pretty good with the vafc, and it needs to be dyno tuned anyway so they can do the whole job

Ebola_one has an English version of the VAFC manal that he used when he installed his, try aking him, he can probly tell you any problems he had.

I watched him install my VAFC2, it didnt look extremely difficult, so save urrself the $100-150 and do it yourself

does anyone know anywhere i can get a little thing you always see them sitting on the moves and mounts to something?

Brand new ones come with an APEX'i mount, a little metal stand that it sticks to with some real sticky double sided tape. Dont know if you can get them 2nd hand tho. Making up your own wouldnt be too hard tho

Re: VAFC install...

Hi mate, we have the same story. I have recently installed a brand new VFC2 onto my 98spec. So I have all the manual and diagram and can also find the better man with cheaper price to install for you. If u need help, just let me know.
However just do not use the ECU diagram on Apexi website unless it is for an unmodified 98 JDM spec not an American rectangular head style. As long as u modified ur intake and exhuast, ur A/F ratio has changed. Go to the proper tuner I suggest.
Good luck.
