Should give you a little difference but you will really need to get headers and intake sorted to make the most of it. You will notice it will stutter at high revs without a good intake done as your only doing half the job. Quote:

So the ECV is an Exhaust Control Valve, in a section of 2 1/2' pipe that is welded in the middle of the exhaust piping before the reso's. Its like a butterfly valve with a heavy duty bike lever cable into the cabin with a low key black lever that lets you 'tune' the exhaust note to reduce the resonating noise. But it robs power, of course, so when you want a cain, you push the lever in and it opens the valve so its straight through. It works REALLY well!. It has supposedly been proven to improve low torque too for around town driving when on, with increased back pressure, but I'm not sure. They are available through anywhere that sells Apex'i and are about $400, so pretty expensive, but its an easy principle and there will be similar products out there, or an onto-it engineer type guy could make one easy as. I would recommend it for anyone with a drony/loud problem with there N1 style straight through systems, particularly at low revs. | |

I'd look for a copy of it myself as Apexi stuff is over priced. Just remember to never fully close it or you will put too much load back onto the engine (just to be safe) |

| Senior Member 7,000rpm (Peak Power) | Probably try Advanced Imports or ST Hi tech
