I've got an ITR with aftermarket filter arm, K&N filter, Headers (4-1) and the cat removed and there is minimal sound difference. (exaust side!) The only major sound diff is with the filter which they cant fail you on at all. I just got a warrent @ a VTN testing station. Remove the cat, get a foot long resonator installed in its place and bingo.
Now that i've said that i have the factory muffler....
On another point, can anyone confirm or deny any power increase over the factory muffler? All i've noticed is a huge increase in sound...little if any power diff?!
Im keen to get a dyno done on my car, if someone has an aftermarket muffler that will bolt onto the factory flange just abover the rear axel and would loan it to me for an hour or two i will gladly dyno it with factory muffler over big bore and post it up.
I hav'nt done a search, so if this has been done before, please complain below...
