Auckland tuners

I was just wondering who some of the best tuners are in Auckland, as in a month or so I will be looking at getting a car tuned (it is a B18C that has some mild work done and a link computer).
Any help would be appreciated.

Gizzmo?
Might go there in the holidays to get my VAFC tuned.
Could try Beyond Performance too as they have brought in a dyno recently.

i think beyond is one of the cheapest place to get tune,

but i would say gizzmo, torque performance or turbo vehicle. but turbo vehicle tune most of NZL fastest car.so i would assume they are the best but not for price wise.

Thanks guys, please keep the comments coming as I want to make the right choice.

I am not looking for the cheapest, I am looking for someone who knows what they are doing and can get it right.

i would suggest robin at toqure performance, for link tuning, he tuned mine a while ago with very good results,

i think it cost like 350 last time i had a tune, but i called up recently and he put prices up and i think for a standard link ecu tune is like 650.

which reminds me, i need a re-tune

you get what you pay for as the old saying goes, the last you want to do is go half assed on the tuning aspect as its obviously determental to how your motor will perform.

My recommendation would be either Torque/Gizzmo/Turbo vehicles.

They know what they're doing in regards to tuning.

Beyond would be the best choice for money and performance, Gizzmo charges too much

I have had ridin at Torque do ll my intergas that I have owned and just with a Standard ECU etc he can get any where from 2-7kw@ the wheels extra with no after market parts currently he has tuned my DB8 which has SSheadders 4-2-1 with a Full Fujisubo exhaust and a pod filter.
I have got 118kw@the wheels also he is one of the few tuners who does a decoke as well ....

When you run a decokeing agent through the engine to remove Carbon build up around all different parts of the engine

Powerboats do this quite often so you can even do this at home for
$22 a can which will do two Decokes,Most Marine shops sell it
it is called Power tune made buy quicksilver.I squirt the can into the throtle body blue smoke and a really funny smell will come out the exhaust.
When you suqirt the decoke liquid in the engine it will almost stall but keep it running but not rev to much
Leave for 15mins then go for a drive and clean the crap out..

I promise you that the engine will rev much more freely and before you know it you have hit the Rev limter
Any questions if you are in AKL I will help you do it

Cheers for that, very interesting.

Don't think they will need to do that though the engine hasn't got too many km's on it. 8O
