If he ports the manifold as well he will probably get a small hp gain but also a nice increase in throttle response. I'd say it would definately be worthwhile considering his other mods.

Yes it will bolt up, you may have to change some of the vacuum routes.

You will need to machine the intake manifold to suit the new throttle body size also. No point over sizing and having a bottle neck at the intake manifold.

my b16a2 intake manifold already had a 62mm hole in it, is this standard?

Depending on the inlet diameter of the skunk2 intake manifold(im guessing an 65-70mm plenum inlet?). A stock size TB bore wont flow too well in conjunction with the aftermarket intakes inlet if its slighty larger . me thinks itll create some sort of wierd air energy charge in there if it isnt port matched polished and flowed all the way through carefully. so basically if hes gonna put the skunky on, get the whole throttle body(butterfly port entrance and exit) port matched and polised all the way through with the intake manifolds plenum inlet.

youd probably get good mid range power gain. But to fully optimize horsepower, get some skunk2 stage 2 camshafts to match the profiling. (might aswell since most manufacturers create their products to go in sync with each other) my $1.00

oh and he might aswell bore out and port match the intake runners with the inlet ports of the head!! remeber to polish too aha fuck I got shit all to do...

When your mate gets one make sure its not too big because I heard if you don't have enough power in your engine to have maximum intake you will lose power, say if you only have I/H/E don't get like a 70mm one

Who enlarged your TB and how much dude?
I bought a Type-R one not so long ago and I'm thinking of getting it bored a few more mm to suit the skunk2 IM that I have arriving soon
