Re: Civic Wiring

try using an AA battery and just keep one wire on one end of the batt and another on the other end and keep switching the wires (change same end) round till you hear one of your speakers scratch or go "kshhhk"

Re: Civic Wiring

This method can also be used to test polarity of speakers. If the speaker cone jumps out when testing, the wire on the positive of the battery is positive on the speakers. If the cone goes in, the wire on the positive of the battery is the negative of the speaker.

Do not hold the battery on the speaker for too long though! Just dab it on and off. You will hear the scratching sound from the speaker if the wires are right. Speakers do not like DC voltage!

Re: Civic Wiring

go buy a $5 multimeter from the warehouse, sure you can use a battery to find the speakers but you'll need to find power, acc and ground too, meter ftw
