1.do you have to use custom alternator brackets?
2.Can you use the EURO 2.2 220ps motor? (I thought it was blue sorry)

3.whats this about chassis framerail modding (you have to bash and cut) to clear to clear alternator belt?
so anyone know the answers especially to 3 I don't get what they mean in the H2B FAQ in the website, so you have to bash the chassis rail to fit the pulley and belt in there?

Im pretty sure they are the same but they can sell them with mounts so thats when they are different. EG/DC kit, EK kit and then just a h2b kit minus mounts but on HT they are now selling one for EF's too.

EVO kit does not require BASHING.

QSD on the other hand does.

I will get pictures of my bay to stop the confusion.

Ah I get ya, I was on the QSD website, EVO website doesn't shot any pics or details of the kit at all?

I'm guessing you buy the $945 kit W/O mounts. Just fill the existing mounts you have.

clear on this now 8)

Euro R box does have its problems I'm using the b series instead with my euro engine because it also relocates the engine in the same place as the b series uses stock axles, supposed to use stock mounts but im having trouble in that area with my hasports. The Euro R engine also needs a little extra trimmed off the block rather than a normal blacktop it looks like. Euro R is supposed to have the same gear ratios as 96 itr. But i think there is more aftermarket support for the b series boxes also.

Anyone know how much wider the H2B kits make an Hseries? Got the Euro R motor half mounted in the CRX and theres like 5mm clearance either side of the motor and box, cant ever imagine running and adaptor plate between the motor and box.

On that note, anyone ever used the Hasport EF Hseries mounts? Mine dont seem to line up and Hasports customer service has so far been close to non-existant....

the d-series box has stronger gears, if you have a read up on bisi-moto's website you'll find out he runs a D-box in his car. given that he has been running well into the 9's he will definately have the fastest H2whatever conversion..

^^^^ right on jase

looked at the H2B swap (for displacement) but decided to stick to the b series for my project.

i do think it is a really good swap tho if you were wanting an affordable upgrade to compete with future k swaps. (with k's being the way of the future, no doubt) i dont think id go as far as saying its a 'k killer' but certainly a very exciting swap for the price and remaining competitive with the k.

good pro/con write up ian
