My project EG. Few new bits

Just got myself a nice tidy eg to turn into a car that I can have some fun on the track and strip with and hopefully get some respectable times etc. Since no one wanted to buy my old dc2 I am going to be taking the b18c-R engine and box out of that as well as afew other parts like the 4>1 headers and short shifting kit etc, seats, and put them into the civic. Aiming for around a 13.8 on the 1/4 mile and not sure about the track.

So the car, Its a tidy NZDM 1992 eg5? that I got off a 78 year old lady, has only done 114,000kms and has been garaged for last 10 years. No dents and just the odd shopping trolley mark. Took me awhile to find a car that had everything I wanted but this one covers it. I has some very nice lack of features and im sure this would be an n1 civic if the eg had that version
Heres some pictures of it. And the goodies I have purchased so far.

No ABS and no air con standard. 1600cc D16a.

220 kmph speedo!!

No drivers airbag or cup holders

My new goodies, exedy 3 puk race clutch & carbon fibre whale's penis intake!

So what do you think of my new car?

Cheers for the coments guys, hope to get abit of work done on it tommorow. still waiting for cam gears to arrive from buddy club.
the body looks alot nicer than in the pics. I think there is only small tiny supermarket dents in it. the dc2 chassis will be sold with the d16a in it.

Nice buy! Swap everything over, wheels, suspension etc unless you got some new stuff on the way

Then get Jamie pissed the night before, (well, he doesn't exactly need provoking), go to drags and wipe that smile off his face

Haha His and Hers, I nominate Danni nicks bits off yours

Goodluck with the build

Course there is going to be some building here. Just dont know how fast it will progress. Just waiting for the parents to move out this week so that I have the 2 car garage to myself to start wripping out the motors and swapping them over.

Also forgot to mention I have d2s adjustable suspension and a mugen replica front lip for it.

Haden.

Well put lip on the car today after painting it last week and started to get the paint off the old dc2 rims. Decided id try paint stripper... big mistake as its hard to get in all the angles etc. Going to just sand the rest of the paint off as strippers made one hell of a mess and just going to lightly sand and paint the other rims. Going to paint them gloss black. Cant be bothered going with powder coating them as I dont know how long ill have these rims for and paint lasts long enough anyway.

Also my new steering wheel arrived today. Integra 96 type R wheel ftw

Nah will be putting the d16a into the teg so that it sells. No work done yet as have been busy helping olds move and raced in the tauranga rally yesterday as co driver in my fathers rx7. Managed a 3rd in our class and 41 out of 61 people and was first rally so not so bad.
Will be taking engine out of teg next weekend so will get some pics etc.
