use a b16a2 not only is it shorter but its cheaper to buy and if you want huge power ya ganna end up doing pistons cams etc any way so why do it to a b16b? save money from the start plus you can get a b16a easy

last time i looked it was 3000 pound for the subframe then the motor and labour ontop of that. but that was a few years ago now could be cheaper.

yeah that sounds a bit on the low side price wise..

if your looking at spending 5-6k its clear you should go with a B16A mate..
should go with that anyway, much cheaper and it sounds like it will be easier to do the conversion.

isnt b18cr 9mm higher or some crap? just make it that much harder to fit

dont think you need to worry bout how high the engine will sit with one of these kits...

some people use the MG metro turbo motor. Direct bolt in I believe.

I'd like to do the whole vtec mini thing, or vtec turbo mini.
However I'd rather the AE86 with F20C

There is a B16A Turbo Mini being built down here in Christchurch. Tube-frame front-end etc. Doesn't look too hard. Most bodyshops would be able to customise the bonnet if needed.

am going to be importing a subframe package soon from Minitec in the states...

http://www.superfastminis.com/Mini-HondaProducts.htm

If anyone else is doing a conversion, maybe we can try for a discount for a package deal??

5-6k is pretty impossible even you do all the work yourself.

Think of wiring loom, dash with all the gauge, fuel lining, brakes upgrade etc.

Yeah the FF ones I've seen have the whole front end hinged so you have access to the entire engine They look mean!!
well ive seen an MR b18cR austin mini with a tur-bur-bo.. :talktothehand:

Ok that would be mean to see. But i dont see the point in the turbo the minis so light that vtec would be enough power anyway w=and a turbo ontop of that youd never get wheel to ground action if you know what i mean but still it would be kool to see
