Well it depends what model Eg you have cause unless it was an sir it wont have the right driveshafts but other than the height problem it should not be difficult! 8)

I know a guy who dropped a B18C into an EG SiR HB. (VTEC8) It was pretty quick... I'll ask him about the swap. If he mentions anything major, I'll post it.

BIG...H: you can get a B20 block with B16 head for the same price, the problem is that this kind of combo's reliability os not that good. My friend had this combo for about a year now, and he has to rebuild (stripping, cleaning, and put is back up again) the engine every 5000kms. Not good for a daily driving car, but very good for draggin.

Yeah i may go the same route B18C into my DA6 later on. Is it much bother swapping B16A1 to a B16A2?? Apart from clucth cable(hydraulic) what else is there to look out for??

MMMMMMM how much for a B18C type R engine???

Big H: yeah my brother HAD a DA6 with a B18C it was an 89 model with a YS1 box from a 91 integra. Sold it to some 17 year old girl for 8grand (as he lost his licence)

You dont need to use the hydro gearbox as this requires modifying the gear box mounts, installing a master cylinder and getting the pedal box to work with it or modifying your existing one.

You just need the engine minus the distributor as you have to use your original one. It actually runs real good on the B16A computer as it makes it a tiny bit leaner in vtec which is what you want.

Same thing would apply if you used a B18c type R engine???

If anybody wants to know all the fine details let me know I'm happy to share

diddle with the hood catch adjustment. you will find that the hood should just close with it wound right out, although the hood may just touch the taper cover, this is safe buit you might want to be aware of people sitting on your car!!!
