Rims for the ef race car

Ok need some tyre gurus help, looking at getting some new rims to fit the ef civic. Now i understand 4x100 and width just dont understand offset and if they will fit. The rims i am looking at size is 15x6 1/2jj with offset of 45. Now the civic is going to be rather low so are these going to fit ok or not?

Re: Rims for the ef race car

yes they will fit fine.

offset is the distance between the centre line of the wheel and the hub mounting face of the wheel....if it is foward of the centre line it is a positive offset.....if it is rearward of the centreline it is a negitive offset.........if it is even then its a zero offset.

Re: Rims for the ef race car

With 15x6.5" you should be able to safely go for a +35 offset and not have any issues

Re: Rims for the ef race car

I ran 6.5 with no probs......7 inch is preferable but 6.5 is ok

Re: Rims for the ef race car

sorry to jump on the badwagon, so higher offset the rims stick out further from the car and low ofset makes them closer?

I was thinking that, what sort of width tyre will a 6.5" rim take? a 205? was looking at running 205 semis or slicks. Recommendations?

Bridgestone T's. I have only ever seen them with polished lips though... so must have been painted .
