Question Koni parts request

Hey just looking for the instruction sheet for Koni 8041 1152 sport and Koni 8041 1213 sport assembly instructions if anyone could help me out with some scans, that would be awesome

These are Koni shocks for EK Civics if think you may have a copy. I really need to find out which washer goes where etc!

-- Specific part I need: Koni parts request

-- EG Neuspeed Springs on EK: Koni parts request

Cheers.

Re: Koni sport instruction request + spring help?

I have access to EG Neuspeed Springs - does anyone know if they will be suitable for EK application?

EDIT: Cancel that

Re: Koni sport instruction request + Koni parts help?

Ok hotlinking from nzintegra.com (hope the owner doesn't mind - think it may be a forum member)

I need in the following picture number 4:

These are the metal collars, or sleeves that go into 2 bushings in the tophat so that the 12mm shaft the Koni can go through it. I was advised that simply drilling out my OEM 10mm sleeves to 12mm would suffice - but is this something to worry about since I'm making the sleeves thinner, and technically weaker (therefore I should get actual 12mm sleeves)?

If so where do I get these from?! :/

Re: Koni parts request

If you bought them new, they should have come with them. If not, I've just bought the exact same Konis for my EK and can provide you with measurements if you need to get some made up.

Hey Ben,

Have you tried contacting Stocks Shocks in Mt Wellington? They are the Koni specialists.

Thanks - have you installed them yet? Maybe you can tell me what circlip level you are using so I get an even lowering rate. Just out of curiosity what is the thickness?

Yeah I tried that first Talan - Except first off he didn't know what I was talking about After describing it he told me that he doesn't stock it but he would drill them out - since I'm not pro I was scared that I would be potentially putting myself at risk (don't want my wheels falling off - haha)

Haven't fitted them yet, but I'm told that the middle groove on the front and the top one on the rear will have it dead even - that's with Neuspeed race springs. Any lower and apparently they will be uncaptive (might be different depending on what springs you have) but I'll see how they go when I get the time to fit them. Will measure the sleeves tonight, but at a guess I'd say they'd be the same O.D as the OEM ones with a larger I.D (12mm as opposed to 10mm).

*edit* 36.5mm tall, 14.5mm outer diameter, 12mm inner diameter. */edit*

Champ - thanks. I am getting Neuspeeds as well Thanks for the info - I was afraid of them being uncaptive after looking at a set from EG. Suppose we will find out soon enough.

Re: Koni parts request

I think its because the Koni's I got were for EF9/EF8 and are going on a EF3 shuttle, so are 2mm bigger

Re: Koni parts request

The ones in my type R are as hard as the will go, as I only have nuespeed sport.
Circlips are on the bottom perch in the back, middle in the front

In my shuttle I have the backs as hard as the will go and the fronts about halfway.
Circlips are on bottom perches all round

Oh yip, was going to do the same as you did with the shuttle. I only have one circlip groove. car's not very low, even tho the springs are ment to be superlows

Re: Koni parts request

If you want more adjustments for the circlip then Stocks should be able to machine some for you.

Re: Koni parts request

mine are on hard all round, on neuspeed race springs, rides firm but bearable and handles great
mine are also on the lowest circlip, you can get any engineering workshop to machine new grooves into the shocks too if you want more lowness
