| Senior Member 4,000rpm (Taxi Drag) | EK Koni/Neuspeed Setup I will soon be taking delivery of new Koni Sport shocks and Neuspeed race springs for my EK4, and need to know a few things regarding setup/configuration. Current height of car, on oem shocks+jamex springs: ImageShack - Hosting :: civicwallrp0.jpg 1) The Koni shocks have 3 grooves and a circlip to adjust height - which groove should I use if I want to keep the same/similar height? (A little higher is ok, lower preferably not). 2) I'm also confused as to whether the grooves are even meant for adjusting height - I've read/heard elsewhere that it's actually meant to adjust spring preload, or something. 3) Will the shocks have much travel left at this height? I.e. would it be advisable to shorten the shafts slightly? Anyone with the same setup in their EK and can advise? Cheers. |

| Senior Member 8,000rpm (B Series Redline!) | Re: EK Koni/Neuspeed Setup My ones for my EK have about 7 slots for the circlip, the front ones are much closer together than the rear ones too. But they were originally eye type for an EG, not sure if there is much difference. You'll find if they are adjustable from the top, it makes shortening the shaft a little more difficult, not impossible but just more expensive. I have skunk2 springs with my Ek ones and there is no way they will be captive without keepers. You'd be best with spoon progressives or something else with a long coil length otherwise if you try to lower the car too much when you jack it up you wont be captive (without shortening the shaft) The koni's in my EF had to be shortened in both the body and the stem to keep King racing coils captive (they are quite short) |

Debating whether to do it myself (don't know if I'll have the time) or pay someone to do it - any idea what it'd cost to get it done proffessionally, and any recommended places? |
