Re: camber

I think it was RJ's red EG6 that was running a fair bit on the front, I saw a pic of it at the taupo track and there was a huge amount of camber at the front, not all that much on the rear

Re: camber

yeh blox ain't that bad, how much are they by the way?
its pretty hard to mess up some camber arms.

I've been to scared to make the purchase for some fronts because I run the car low, and all arms i have looked at would most likly bash the upper wheel well, Skunk2 and the likes, they are HUGE compared to the stock A arms so like to bash all sorts of stuff up in there.

maybe I should raise it up, hehe.

My car's running about 1.5 in the front and around 2 in the rear with a reasonable amount of toe out... the turn in is insane, and the rear has been much more stable mid corner since we added some extra negative camber on the rear.

It's definitely more of a street friendly setup but no complaints so far.

Re: camber

ok so camber arms are in now and sitting at max just for a look-see. now that thats all done, standing in front of the car it seems the front has alot of toe-in?? basically both front wheels with steering wheel straight look to both be turning slightly in towards the motor. are there other aftermarket parts i need to adjust them to where they should be?? any advice thanks, and at the mo im looking at getting my fabricator magician the task of putting a simple chromoly lower radiator support thru (cross-member) and better brackets for rad and i/c. while im welding stuff in that particular order why not add some traction bars to the mix?? or are they only really designed for drag track use?? TIA

Re: camber + toe in? pg2

toe in at the front is adjusted mostly by your steering rack tie arms..

traction bars help alot.. and can also play a part in adjusting suspension geometry too

so for a track car, it would benefit from traction bars?? yeah i guessed the toe in would be adjusted by the steering rack arms, just not sure how much adjustment there is there

Re: camber + toe in? pg2

no i wouldnt run traction bars, a well known ss2000 racer told me this when i was going to make some up to put on my car.

Re: camber + toe in? pg2

on a car that goes round corners i wouldnt bother with traction bars as u sould end up binding the suspension.

as for toe, theres heaps of adjustment in the steering rack arms
