Handling for CF4 (beginner's question)

Hello all. I want to lower my CF4 to give it a better look and hopefully improve some handling, but I have no idea of where to start.

My car seem to oscillate at high speed on certain roads (most noticabe on state highway 1 heading towards the city, before the bridge over New Market on the furthest lane ). I am not too sure why it happens and hope to get some advices on how to improve the handling and stability of my car.

My car is certainly not for track, I just want a smoother ride with better handling for normal road driving. Also, where would I be able to get springs or coilovers or whatever for my CF4? Nobody seems to be selling stuff for it on the parts exhcange forum .

err just so you know, that stretch of motorway past Market rd towards the overhead newmarket pass is fucking bumpy as hell in all lanes, mostly the closest toward the right. /nz roads

anyone else notice?

there isnt much aftermarket support for cf4 compared to alot of other models.

I have a set of coilovers for your car probably going to take them out of my euro R. I had lowering springs prior and I must say that the coilovers are alot more sterdy.

DURTYEF3: That was the exact part I was talking about . Far out, I travel at 80 it seems bumpy as hell, when I go at like 100 its like resonating.

One thing I wont reccomend is compressing the factory springs....

I compressed them in my CF4 and when I got my Euro R, the factory height/springs/ride were all 10x better.

Im sure some places will make up custom fitting springs for them...?

Otherwise King Springs/Cobra Springs etc etc should make something for a CF4 I imagin...

Newbie here.

If yr looking for bang for buck without sacrifice comfort, pls look around for stock EuroR suspension. They fit CF4 well with lowering of 3/4 inch and semi sports handling with their progressive springs and sligtly stiffer dampers.
The strut mount rubbers are also slightly stiffer than CF4's.

Anyone have pictures with a CF4 fitted with EuroR dampers+springs? I want to have a look at how it would look on a real thing. It is always easier for me to see the real thing than to imagine . Thanks~

i've got tein adjustable damper/coilovers in my CF3 and i must say that it handles heaps better than when i had lowering springs.

i think the jamex ones are the lowest (around 45mm drop) if you want to change just the springs.

Thanks for the replies ! I have been busy recently.
Think I will wait a bit a contemplate if I want to invest in coilovers or if I should just get some lowering springs.
