I've got a couple of sets of standard Series 6 FD rims. Not really ideal offset but nothing a small spacer cant fix, also suprisingly light for a factory wheel

5x114.3 i think, 50 offset??
my car isnt 5 stud

pretty sure i have some wheels lined up, but not 16x8... cant really be stuffed finding/paying big money for them now so am just going to go 16x7 with a good offset.

Re: how wide is too wide??

The stock rims from a S6 are only 6.2kg
They are prone to cracking if you hit a few ripple strips on a racetrack though so be careful.

The Type-RS rims from S7/S8 are a nicer looking rim. Altho staggered widths - 17x8 & 17x8.5.

All of them are +50 offset tho

Re: how wide is too wide??

Nah you need some concaved 10 spoke CE's on yours! Your lucky with that FD you can stick just about any bloody wheel you want on it!

The above made has made the short list for me... just gotta make sure they clear brakes which is pretty unlikely

I have probs with clearance and rubbing with 15x7 and 17x7.
