| Senior Member 5,000rpm (VTEC Power!) | What to get with coilovers / Spring Rates? Hey guys I'm looking at getting some Coilovers for my DC2 and was just wondering what else I should look at doing while I was changing the suspsension? I already have an 8 piece Camber kit that cost me $1400 so apart from that I was thinking maybe LCA's? Just looking for some input and opinions on what other parts I should upgrade at the same time. The car is hardly going to see track duties but I would like to have some good cornering power. The main constraint is that the car is going to be a weekend cruiser so The ride can't be really bumpy, which rules out upgrading the bushes. Any opinions would be primo. The other thing is about spring rates. The coilovers seem pretty hard to me with street springs (they don't have adjustible spring rates). The rates are 9.8kg/mm in the front and 6.2kg/mm in the rear. I'm not sure what the standard rates are but these sound quite stiff ![]() If I wind the damper right down would that give the car a softer ride or would it's still be quite hard? As said the car is mainly a cruiser. Thanks for any insight. |
