EK4 Camber with Spoon Prog Springs.

Hi

I am going to install Spoon progressive springs into my SIR EK4 Civic using the factory shocks. I am wondering if I will have problems with tyre wear due to excessive camber? Will I require an adjustable camber kit or are they only needed if the car is really low? I believe the springs lower the car 10-20mm depending on what you read.

Spoon describe the springs as "designed to provide optimal ride height and camber, while working in conjunction with stock dampers." Can I believe this?

Thanks in advance
Chris

Re: EK4 Camber with Spoon Prog Springs.

u will get some camber from lowering ur car, but its nothing to extream and its not really going to wear ur tires out that much. if ur really worried about it get a wheel alignment and get them to fix ur TOE. then u shouldnt have any problems with tire wear.

as for how much it lowers the car and that its designed for factory shocks, i dont think ull have any problems with them on ur stock shocks it seems to be only the super low springs (50+mm) that end up stuffing ur shocks

It wont stress your camber that much. Its hardly the sort of drop to even worry about camber. You'll be fine, a wheel alignment as mentioned by Horny Devil will be of an advantage to make sure other settings in the alignment are in good shape which could also affect your tyre wear.

get a wheel alignment, i lowered my cl1 and stuffed the tyres. Should always get a wheel alignment when changing anything with regards to suspension anyway.

O.K thanks, I was planning on getting a wheel alignment done.

Cheers
