Ef8-itr Brake Upgrade

I am thinking of doing a ITR brake upgrade on the crx.

Firstly as we all know ITR is 4x114 and EFs are 4x100.
The Prob is Im using 4x100 wheels so can't swap hub assemblys over.

Will ITR calipers bolt to EF8 hubs, then just buy aftermarket discs??

Or could i use ITR front hubs and change them over to 4x100 using EF8 wheel bearing kit??

Does anyone have any ideas??

On my EF7 road car i used DA6 front hubs and discs and BA5 prelude calipers and changed the master cylinder to EF9. What big difference that made was like night and day!!

This one is a bit more serious than that so need a solution before i buy any parts i cant use!

Re: Ef8-itr Brake Upgrade

You cant change hubs from one stud pattern to another. The hub defines the stud pattern.

Re: Ef8-itr Brake Upgrade

Pretty sure there's no point going from EF8 brakes to ITR (97 spec) brakes. ITR, SiR's (EK, EG6/9, EF8/9, DC2/? & DA6/8) all run the 262mm brake rotors. (essentially if it's got a B16A/B18C it's 262mm rotor)

What you can do if you want that ITR bling, is mount the calipers (they should mount to stock bolting locations) redrill the ITR rotors and I assume you'll need a 2mm-3mm spacer behind the rotor (slip it over the hub, then put the rotor over the top of that) I needed one when I fit prelude calipers/rotors to my DA6, and a few others have needed spacers on their EF9's.

A better upgrade would be to the prelude (BB1/4), 98+ spec ITR, BB5/6 Prelude 282mm rotors + calipers (you will need a minimum of a 15" wheel for this combo)
Don't forget the ITR & BB5/6 come in 5-stud so you'll need to get some other rotors (unless it's been proven that drilling 5 stud rotors out to 4x100 is safe?)

Tonnes of people have done the 282mm brake upgrade, have a search.
