Location: Auckland | Aftermarket Rear LCA Questions Okay, looking at turning the Rear LCA on the DC2 into Fork type mounting. Have been doing a bit of research and have some questions that I need clarified. 1. Which aftermarket brand makes a fork type rear LCA for the DC chassis that will take ABS lines? The only one I can find is Omni power ... 2. If fitting EK rear shocks onto these aftermarket rear LCAs would I need to shave the bushings where the shock fork mounts onto the arms?? (I know with skunk 2 their shocks are designed to take up their own rear LCAs, so no shaving is required) 3. If I went with Omni power Rear LCAs, the ABS lines will bolt on, the swaybar should be fine ... what about using EK specific Rear shocks .. would I need to shave the mounting bushings?? Intelligent replies welcomed ![]()

Location: Hamilton | Wouldn't your best bet be to measure the inside measurement of the EK fork on the shock you want to run and the total width of the LCA bush? I know EK D2 fork's for example are 40mm but I think the Buddyclub N+ was slightly more, Zeal was a little more too I think. EJ rear LCA's have a wider bush at about 50mm too so my point it there's little differences between em all. Can't be of much help with the abs line except to say the BLOX arms don't cater for it, not the ones I have anyway. |
