You do know that with adjustables you need to certify them right? Oh and don't bump within a minute of your last post, it hasn't gone anywhere.

Bumping after one minute? No point, and it just makes you look even more stupid. You bump once your topic gets to a low point in the forum listings. Also, please pay attention to which forum you post in. I have shifted this topic for you.

http://www.nzhondas.com/phpBB2/eleve...-vtu58957.html
Please read that.

To be honest I wouldn't touch either, they are both utilising standard shocks and neither are really safe to use on them. The shocks will be fucked and you won't get a cert. However the second ones appear to be a decent enough setup, so if you get some good shocks to put the sleeves on then you will be all good.

for a start suspension for an 88-00 civic wont fit all those years would out modification to some extent so you need to find out what year its for

you will also need to figure in the cost of a cert in the price of them, if u dont plan on certing the car dont buy the suspension

haha someone wants $850 for 4 stock shocks with coilovers and keeper springs!
the 2nd set of coilovers looks just like all the other cheap pro1 copy coilovers out there. Cheap as

If you are spending that kind of money look into some diyama's or what ever they are.

Don't even waste your time with coilover sleeves unless they are decent branded ones like Skunk2 or genuine Pro-1. You will be looking at about 500ish for them in that case. Just get some lowering springs.

Why spend so much money? To get something that does what you want, and not have to worry about it failing and causing damage, or hurting yourself and/or someone else. It is people who cut corners and try skimp on costs that end up spending more in the long run replacing damaged components.

They do the same thing? They do not do the same thing. At all.

Little research and development goes into the trademe ones. They are replicas (and poor ones that) of brands who have spent huge amounts of money and invested a lot of time into developing effective and high performing solutions. They are made for people like yourself who are short of funds, yet do not possess the technical knowledge to prevent them from making the mistake of purchasing them, and who don't seem to have a care for safety. The build quality of them is shit, the ride quality representative of this. They are unsafe - period.

You cannot compare them to full coilovers. Completely different ballpark.

even some rsr or nuespeed race will drip 50mm and have no other issus at all

and get a set for a 3dr eg hatch, that will drop it 20mm more ruffly... cant beat that

bseries will drop nose and sedan will drop rear 8)

simple and cheap yet effective

if money is an issue don't get adjustable coilover springs.

buy some decent lowering springs that still keep the car above 100mm.

that way you won't need a cert and they will be safe with no poor quality issues such as noisey or poor fitting cheap coilovers.

$250 for coil overs plus $350-$400 for a cert.

vs maybe $300-$350 for some really good neuspeed springs 2nd hand.

ATM Im using some H&R race springs in my DC on stock shocks, and there much better than the King springs I had before, and it sits fairly low. But handling is still lacking IMO, you really need some better shocks to take advantage of the springs. So Im on the hunt for some Koni Yellows (PM me if you have some!)

So in short, I would go for H&R/Neuspeed springs but dont stop there, you should look into some better shocks aswell.
