| Senior Member 3,000rpm (Grandma Drag) | Tyre's Tucking Does everyone who tyres tuck have the same annoyances as me ie. rubbing guards when turning + a slight bump in road, slicing up tyres etc. I've had the fronts and back lipped and flared a bit too. How do these guys manage ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Just want some comfort in knowing I'm not alone ops:

| Senior Member 7,000rpm (Peak Power) | also a nice sturdy suspension setup, when i moved to invercargill a long time ago with all my worldy possesions in the back of my integra you could only fit a fingernail between rear wheel arch and tyre, never rubbed once |

| Senior Member 7,000rpm (Peak Power) | With the correct offset wheels as you lower the car they tuck in and come clear of the wheel arches. Factory DC2 wheels for example will not hit in the front or the rear, even if the car is dropped right to the ground. If you were driving around with it really really low you would probably want to go with a higher than factory offset and then a camber correction kit in order to keep at least some of your suspension geometry right.

| Senior Member 6,000rpm (Max Torque) | On the way to trackday on friday I had a boot full of stuff and a car full of people, the back was tucking basically all of the tyre. On 17x7" +42 it rubbed a fair bit on the big bumps all the way to taupo, so on the way home I just left my standard 16" +50 Type R wheels on and though it still rubbed, not quite so bad. Im going to fiddle with the damper rate on t\my back shocks, that should fix it.

Yeah Wingit, try adjusting your rear dampers, it should slow down the oscilation a little when you go over bumps, whether it would be enough you can only try. Otherwise you can either raise it up (i'm guessing by the pic's, you dont want to) or try a harder rate spring. *pretty sure Adrians DC is caged, so he doesn't have the option of having 3 people and a full boot of stuff to load up the back

| Senior Member 3,000rpm (Grandma Drag) | So with the correct offset if the yellow DC2 were to turn like it is and hit a bump in the road it wouldnt push the tyre which is milimeters from the guard into it? The wheels I got are 17x7 +40 on a crx and im tucking thiiiis much ![]() although now that I see the photo it barely looks like its tucking at all, and this is on d2's at there lowest! It doesnt seem to rub at the back since I had the guards lipped, I'm just concerned about the front, because yeah, when I turn the wheels the tyre looks real close the the guard... excuse the shitty matte black...should be painted soon.

Location: Christchurch | The guards on EFs seem to be pretty big. I have a 50mm (+/- 5mm) drop from my Neuspeeds, the car has a pretty aggressive stance; but I still have a 1.5-2 finger gap in my guards (springs have settled a bit after the photos in my profile). With similar suspension, a mates old DA had half a finger gap, and another mates EK was just tucking.

Already rolled and flared about 5mm, cant flare much more without pulling the metal away from somewhere else... I'm not to worried about it, seems to be right, mainly just wanted to hear from others

Location: Auckland | tire and wheel size is an obvious get a knife to cut your inner guard liners up and dont be shy with a hammer or grinder  for the front you'll only rub on the plastic liner and the metal seem at the top of the guards (which is whats cutting your tires) If you got a desent setup it wont be too bouncy. you get used to it eventually.. |
