lol @ emo boy

you seriously think your karting experience will translate into driving real tintops around a track? especially your unsafe and illegally modified car vs the likes of timmyblc or trackwhore or countless others who have modified their cars legally and to the absolute limit?

just because you have removed the bumpstops, keepers, inner guards and its low to the ground means that its gonna outhandle a car with propper suspension geometry and has a tried and true setup that has been proven to work many times in many setups?

ill take your $20 off you in my almost standard da6 and then ill place a bet saying we will read a story in the paper how your illegally modified car lost control on some uneven roads racing your mates in his ej1 after some skids and hit a people mover full of nuns on the way to church killing them all

for someone who claims to have years of motor racing experience, you post up some absolute crap! you really have no idea do you?

Straight up.

The young street warrior should know it's not how you stand by your car..

It's how you race your car. So check it out, it's like this: If I win, I take the cash, and I take the respect.

So hows the tuna today?

Everyone is on the "Flame Elliot" band wagon huh? Yes he talks alot and usually about nothing, and can be rather annoying. But give him a break.

I dont think Elliot said anything about racing his EK against any one.

I have been racing karts for about 9 years now, and did motorcross for 2 years before that, and Im not saying that if you were to jump into a race car with previous racing experience you'll set a lap record, but you have a bit of headstart over everyone else. Which I think what Elliot was trying to get at.

Holy footy socks, this thread has gone down the crapper.

Ace, unless you're the next Gilles Villeneuve (look it up if you must) you really need to learn who posts on here before you start handing out the $20s. We've got some extremely quick club-level drivers (yes track days count ffs), some SS2000 drivers and at least one with international Honda Challenge experience. There's also a number who have done karting, you're not unique on here. Except in the obvious way of course.

What shocks me most (no pun intended) is that for someone who has karting experience you're willing to compromise so much on your road car suspension. You as mcuh as anyone else interested in true performance should know how dangerous incorrectly set up suspension can be. Or didn't you learn anything at all about set-up from karting?

17... Raced karts since the age of 4, 1st equal north island champ.

My kart owns all of your cars lol!!
The puke lap record is held by a superkart...

we get clicked at 255 at the end of taupo straight, so much for "go-karts being toys"

Your a toy, not a tool... tools are usefull.

Perhaps you'd like to attend a Playday at Taupo or NIMM and show us all up?

sweet baby jebus and insulting a mod, whats the world coming to!
you probably dont even set your kart up right? daddy does it all for you aye, or someone with a bit of common sense and knowhow, which your quite obviously lacking
come to a track day, bring your bumpstopless ek and line it up against another dninja'ed honda with correctly setup suspension, 13yrs of karting experience wont get you anything except a trip to the kitty litter and a long tow back to auckland with your tail between your legs

17 years old ???

How is it that you're a bartender at that age?

As for a $20 bet, surely the absolute minimum bet should be the cost of the trackday ±$120.

If you're at the next PlayDay at Taupo in May, I'll be there in my WoF'ed and Rego'ed, 1300cc NA. You can drive whatever road-legal thing you want.

I would have expected a more mature approach to cars from someone with so much apparent experience. Not to mention a much more mature approach to being a part of a club environment...

Kart classes arent arranged like that. There done on age groups, not skill level.

Been studying the "Cliche'd Internet Put-Downs for Dummies" book huh? If you really want to use tired old quotes here's one for you: Your ego's writing cheques your body can't cash.

I wouldn't doubt you might beat me round a track since I've never done any circuit work, but at the end of the day your car's still a road fatality statistic looking for somewhere to happen. And the headlines will blare something about boy racers and unsafe cars and the young guys on here will get it in the neck even more from the cops. Becuase you want your car low. So can you see why everyone's not happy about it?

Don't go thinking just because you can run a kart round a track you'll be able to control a car on collapsed suspension. Many people with much more skill than you have died on race tracks from failed suspension, and that was with all the safety gear.

And for those saying to bring the car along to NIMM/SIMM you're all forgetting one thing: We won't let unsafe cars on the track.

Karts dont have suspension dude... So wether we did and it was any stiffer like my ek is now what difference would it make??

And yes dillon is right its all done by age... So there goes the "youve been racing that long and still a junior" remarks...

In all honesty half the cunts out their today couldnt drive their own finger up their ass...

And whos the SS2000 driver in here??
(please dont tell me its one of the honda challenge people hahahahaha!!!)
