CL1 Coilover suspension questions

As ive said before in another thread im looking for coilover options for my CL1 under $2000 and have run into some questions.

Takeiteg made reference to Daiyama FFA-G's. As far as i know these arent available for CL1 mounts. Does this mean they can fit a CL1 if you change the mounts? Or did he just have CF4 mounts in his Accord.

Also, whats the difference between CF4 and CL1 mounts? and are they in any way interchangable because this would give me much more suspension options.

Im getting the buddyclub pillow mounts removed from my car so it'll be a completely fresh start if that makes any difference

Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated,

Mike

So does that mean i could get CF4 top hats and then buy coilovers that would fit a CF4? Because that would be awesome if I could....

Awesome, thats what i wanted to hear. I might PM Takeiteg and see if i can get confirmation though, just to be sure

Okay, one more n00b suspension question, if i bought some CF4 coilovers (say Daiyama FFA-G's) would they bolt straight in if i kept the buddyclub pillow mounts? Or will i have to replace them with CF4/CL1 mounts?

Thanks for your help guys, suspension is a pretty new area to me

they are interchangable, i know for a fact.

the only trick is if your coilovers are from the other market i mentioned then the tops need to be changed.

as for your pillow balls they most likely will swap unless the shafts have a different diameter.

I'm not sure if it's standard, but the spring diameter will also be an issue... I've got a set of Daiyama suspension sitting in front of me btw

Yeah, the top hats, and yeah you're right if the spring is smaller than the factory one you can just get an insert made up and  sorted! That's what I had to do with my Tanabes
