Nolathane rear trailing arm bushes and oversteer

Who reakons that harder nolathane trailing arm bushes (front big round ones) will invoke a 'snapier' oversteer in the DC2 R.

I'm considering returning these to standard factory bushes for targa style driving.

If it was track only, i would leave them in.

Thoughts ?

Have you looked into the spherical type RTA bushes? BigAl seems to use them (according to an HT thread I spied him in)

Search on HT, users name is kiwi too. Think they go for $265 USD.

Nolthane one's aren't that hard, hmm I wouln't have thought a factory R witth dunlop targa tyres, cage and a nolathan trailing arms would be very rear happy?

What suspension are you using, what shocks and spring rates?

I find my car only gets rear happy if I brake too deep or around a corner.

It's shouldn't have made it that tail happy I would be getting the wheel alignment checked especially if you have put the cage in since then, if a cage is badly welded it can cause problems with the chassis alignment.
Might be way off here though.

Alignment is fine, and gets a new one prior to any major event. Springs are 400 in the front and 250 in the back. rear and front sway bars are standard.

I'm just trying to reduce the "snap oversteer" that this car has, but it may just be ITR inherient.

I have 500lb front and 225lb rear with the same rear sway bar but a 2mm smaller front on a EJ1 civic. I have found it will get snap over steer if you lift off throttle quickly or weight shift far too much in a corner.

Also any light braking mid corner makes oversteer on my setup.

WHat shocks do you have, enough droop in the rear, or is it always on three.

Check your wheel alignment settings, maybe set 0 toe all round and check camber
