| Senior Member 5,000rpm (VTEC Power!) | DC2 non type r handling help hi guys before you read this. yes i have searched and done a bit of research but im just wanting specifics for my car. ive got a 1994 integra dc2 "bugeye" si vtec and ive entered myself for the NIMM in november. At the moment it has some dobi lowering springs but thats about it. It handles alright but would like to stiffen up the chassis a bit. So i am looking at getting new front and rear sway bars and maybe also a rear strut bar in the future. Can i use the itr 22mm rear sway bar or does it require "garage works" mounting brackets?what about front sway bar? itr? any other bars or braces i should be looking at? cheers brent |

| Team NZH: Mod 9,000rpm (S2000 Redline!) | Change your springs. Dobi are very soft and the car will never handle well with them. Some good shocks and springs or coilovers - front and rear strut brace, and an integra type R rear sway bar. That will be about as good as you can get without going nuts.

Location: Auckland | agreed, dobi may sack your car but the handling is poo due to the very soft sping.

Location: Auckland | new springs are great but if your shocks are poo's then its not worth installing until you can afford some shocks IMO........ ![]() your shock is what controls the spring....stops you from bouncing of the road as it were, so if your shocks are fucked then you may as well just roll around on bumpstops as you will bounce around Buy the springs, but save up and buy some shocks before you install them......your mother will love you for it

| Senior Member 4,000rpm (Taxi Drag) | it's not good idea to install bigger rear sway bar without good shock...image on the corner, if the shock cant absorb the force of some bump.....if ur rear sway bar is bigger, it has more chance that ur car suddenly lose control or oversteering |

Location: Auckland | You will need to reinforce your subframe to fit the itr sway bar. You could just weld on a couple of stronger plates to mount the brackets though. I think Coupe-R has pictures of what he did to his subframe.. looks like the best idea. I got that beaks kit, and what a nightmare, ended up having to weld up my subframe anyway! |
