4-stud to 5-stud?

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to change my hubs? My 1997 Type R is 4-stud and i'm really keen to get myself some factory 16" 2001 Type R mags (as in avatar) which are 5-stud.

As i've said many times in the past, I'm a newb when it comes to anything to do with wheels, so please excuse my lack of correct terminology etc

So has anyone ever done this? Interested to know what's involved.

the cost for parts will kill ya bank balance..

IIRC, strongs sell the 5 stud swap for around 1400.00

depending on how kind a private seller is, privatly you could get a set from 500-800

not worth it if all you want is the 5 lug to fit the wheels, as the brakes etc, are similar spec.

Hmm that's way too expensive. Is there any other option that you know of?

the simple option is there is no other way bar buying a 5 stud hub set.
PM me as I have some for sale...Like you I bought the 5 stud hubs f or the bigger brakes and the nicer CTR/DC5 wheels

Sorry mate. If the price is anything like what was mentioned above, then there's no way i'll be doing it.

Thanks anyway.

My 5 stud conversion cost me about $350 all up.
I got the 98spec rotors and calipers for $200 off Wayne from Matamata(cant remember his forum name)
Then got gamans engineering to modify my ef9 hubs to 5stud and machines the drive flange with new bearings.Works a treat
