Issues With Coilover Sleeves

Hey guys,

I have coilover sleeves in my ek civic, and ive winded them all right down but the height isnt what i expected. Is there any other way i can make it lower? Ive turned the lower hats upside down too.

Cheers

??????????? turned the top hats upside down!!!!????? jeezuz im nt quite sure what you mean by that that but it sounds dodgeeeee...

however the only thing you could do aside from buying a proper coilover kit is drop the sleeves lower on the strut, however this could cause all sorts of greif as far as ride comfort and suspension characteristics go...
if it were me id just go for proper coilovers....will cost more to begin with but far better result and not as dodge as sleeves

yeah, the cup where the spring sits, you can flip that over to get another 1inch drop.

take the keepers out, you dont need em.

no, shortening the shocks wont make it lower...usually this is done to keep the spring captive.

just buy real coilovers bro, safer and low....

Agreed. Mac at 41 has some Daiyama IIE-G's for civic cheap at the moment. Just under 1100 bucks I think.

can i see a pic of the ride height?
im amazed that it isnt as low as you want it, usually coilovers can drop a car stupidly low. 8O
