I wouldn't be skimping on brakes at a trackday... thats the only thing holding me back from doing one at the moment.

$180 (to fit the prelude calipers), im sure they would be enough with good fluid, allthough i havnt had them on the track yet, i will let you know how they go on the 11th.

give Jonothan a ring at Speedfactor and see what sortta deal he can do for pads and discs, or go to BNT and get some cheap replacement discs they are only about $30-40 each.

180 - was that for both front and rear? or just front?

If you are not going to push your car very hard on track and not going to visit any track day soon, you can have enough fun with your standard brake pads with good brake fluid changed.
Get the standard brake pads from Honda NZ for $60ish and Motul brake fluid RBF600 from Revolution, then you are ready to go!

Mintex 1166 is your choice. I've them on my car and my front wheels are still clean after few laps on track.

Remsa pads are what i have used they survived 3 trackdays (just) and numerous canings during their 30,000km's life.

that and motul RBF600 fluid for a quality fluid for a decent price.

around $70 for the fronts and $60 for the rears (non-vtec prelude/accord ascot)

After a recent thrash around Pukekohe I found Bendix Metal Kings to be kaka! They cooked themselves after 5 laps.. Felt great on the road.. couldn't get fade thrashing around, but on the track they went bad very quick. my 2c. (oh, and there was plenty of dust)

I've got some Ferodo 2500's that have done about 15-20km before I decided a pad upgrade wasn't enough and did a full system upgrade. Cost me $250 from racebrakes and are basically brand new. Out of a DC2, 262mm rotors. Want them for $150?
