ME Getting banned at Hamilton grandview Countdown

Today my mum and her friends went to countdown to by some brocoli and other stuff. it was there first time for the day. When they were picking out the brocoli some bitch and the store manager kicked them out. my mum and friend got kicked out not understanding why. they made a seen and the PIG came. they couldnt understand what they were saying so my mum got a ride home and told me about the situation as they were very upset :cry:

when i found out i went back to countdown with them. my mum pointed out who was involved. soon as the bitch saw my mum they were like you must leave in a angry tone before i could even ask why. then i ask why arn't they allowed to buy brocoli and stuff. she coulnt handle it and got the store Manager KANE. he was like they were buying for a takeaway and trade. I was lie WTF!! 8O

I told him that my mum and her friend werent related as he thought they were just friends and none of them own a takeaway.

he told me to go out side and discuss the matter. Fine i said.
when we were outside he said your family arnt welcome to our store anymore. i was think why with a gaint :?: he said your family is buying brocoli for that takeaway multiple times today. I told your all shit as my mum only came here once today, you can even look on your survelence tapes proven they only came once. he then said listen to me. i said you listen to me. my mum friend ommitted coming the other day buying it. but she only came today to show my mum today as they going shopping everywhere together.


i asked him why do you think are family and he just showed a gaint :?: and was speechless. he said sorry but you are banned. i got angry and said fuck u. (he was like what you say. i repeated fuck u) x2. on the second f*** u i said your fucken racist. him: why do you think im racist. because your denying service under the assumption of them being all one big family and supplying a takeaway. i said you have no right to think like that, because why dont you deny kiwi when they come and buy as a few friends and then deny my mum and her friend because they are chinese. he was very speech less. and he said thats it im calling the cop. i said go for it and waited until the cop came.

while waiting the indian dude from the lotto shop said dont make a seen and just let it go. i told the story and he said i know dont make a seen. i said i dont care as it is my right. if i was wrong i would of backed off.

when the cop came, he just blabbing about i told you guys that the manager put a tresspass notice on you guys. i said i didnt know as i just got here to find what the problem was. he said that the manager has the right to denie service because of trade and buying for takeaway. i told we dont have a takeaway and we arnt even related. i said check each of our last name, they arnt even the same. cop said sorry im just listening to what the store manager said. i said bullshit this arnt bloody right. he wrote me up a trespass notice, then the homo store manager tried saying your mum through a fit and chucked the crap on the brocoli on the floor. i said i would to if you came up to me and grab the food off me and shuffled your hands to get out.


he tried saying some other crap when i was talking to the officer and i said shut up im talking to the officer not you. then the officer had a look that he was wrong so did the manager after i pointed his assumption. the manager and cop said your banned i was like fine. i going to another branch and ill tell my asian community not to go to the crap branch. i took off with the notice and went to the one in town to contact that manager so i can speak to the big boss above them all.

now im just waiting for a phone call from the boss as he is busy

well... assumption is the mother of all Fu*k ups, and looks to me the store manager assumed something, and made a big Fu*k up!

If they were really there to buy for trade, then fair enough, but by you going in and trying to discuss, they should have realised it wasnt the case, as you were actually presenting a fair arguement, but obviously they dont know when to admit wrong doing.

take em to the cleaners dude, you can count on them to let customers down, lol

Always go straight to the top. I recently had a car related issue and went straight to the General Manager of NZ for this particular car company. Got my issue sorted out very promptly.

Im a kiwi, and all the time when I used to work for coke cola I had to say no to people that were buying drinks for there stores. I had to remember all the people that owned shops etc and if some one else asked for HEAPS of coke etc, I couldnt question them about it because I had no proof.

Unlucky mate. Unfortunately the store manager can have a trespass notice put on whoever he likes, complaining to the higher management may get no action upon the manager either. The union would be called in if the employer dismissed him, and they may have little ground for which to dismiss him on unless it was discrimination, therefore they would have to re-instate him, it would just waste a lot of time and money for the employer. My suggestion would be to take legal action yourself for the discrimination the manager has clearly shown. Have copies of the video put aside right now so they are not deleted.

It seems to me that the store keeper (or whatever he was) made a poor assumption of people buying for a business, thats all. The point about being family or not didnt get you/them banned so I dont see its relevance.

You're assuming that race had anything to do with this. From the original post, the manager never once made a racial comment or suggested that because you're Asian, you must be buying for trade. He simply thought he recognized them as repeat shoppers and acted on it.

Sure it sucks that he's wrongly assumed the reasons behind the purchase, but I think it's weak that you're crying racism.

hardly anywhere actually enforces limits on how many things you can take anyway. I've seen people at supermarkets buying like 50 of something easily. Racism if you ask me and now the manager doesn't want to say sorry he made a mistake.
