Bonnet?

Hey everyone just saw a evo 5 with its bonnet off b4 just wondering if I should do it to my 1996 ITR as it has only done 65 kms and the motor looks mint and i have a red k&n pod witch stands out. What are the pros and cons of this? I no it wod be easy to do

OMFG is this real u want to take ur bonnet off an drive round to show off your shiney red pod filter!!! AWESOME do it man! another thing u could do to really showcase that shiney red pod would be to cut a hole in the bonnet and redirect your intake piping so the shiney red pod sticks up thru your bonnet for everyone to see/steal u may also as a possible added bonus gain sum performance from this phenominal mod due to cooler intake air?!

IIRC a guy wrote into performance car mag and asked that question. They said that it was technically legal but cops would most probably give you a ticket as it goes under the law about no things sticking out that can damage people in an accident or something. e.g hands in pulleys

Law may of changed since then though.

i have only seen people do it on the track when they r drag racing( I suppose ur ride will be a bit lighter), dont know why u will want to do it for a daily drive car .......
