Location: Tauranga | Why ruin a perfectly good drift car? even the autobox RB20DE can drift, why downgrade? On the other hand however.... why not RWD a Honda Shuttle? They already came 4WD.... much easier, much lighter and you are sticking with Honda. ![]() |

You SURELY have to be kidding? The RB20DE has very little torque and even less power for a RWD. An F20C has more torque than an RB20DE, and makes more power than an RB20DET - it'd be great fun ![]()

Location: Christchurch | Ummm... C32 from a NSX? If your doin sumthin that crazy u mite as well go the full way. The best idea I can think of is using a S2000 setup, F20C and RWD drivetrain... thats if your wanting to keep it RWD. I know a guy did that to his lotus in NZ.This reminds me of my post on building a RWD Vtec drifter. Make us proud man! Go ahead and build one! Even better, put honda badges on it with "DOHC Vtec", "Mugen", and "powered by honda" stickers! That'll make Nissan owners cry... |

Location: Outside NZ: Hong Kong | I second the motion for induction to the hall of lol. What a fuggin stupid idea. Why would you even dream of putting any sort of vtec engine, including the f20c into a heavy-ass chassis like the cefiro. Vtec engines don't produce anywhere near the sort of torque that a decent rb20det does. Most b series don't even produce the amount of torque that a rb20de does. That and apart from the f20c, the inherent lack of rwd gearboxes means chances are your mAD DriFtoR cefiro would be drift-enabled only via the handbrake cable, and not the driveline. And for those that suggested an h22a s13? Thats pretty much equally as ghey an idea. Why bother spending the amount of money to put fwd h22a into a car that was sold with a rwd ca18det or sr20det. These are good motors and with light bolt-ons, and make power the average h22a owner can only dream of. Unless of course, you like making a car slower. |

| Man that got some quick replies... i think in general crossbreading is not a good idea, only in some cases ie. ae86/sr20det Quote:

When your not that heavy you don't need mad power or torque to get a decent drift going. You don't just need the hand brake/E-brake. Quote:

Really you dont need mad power, torque, or ebrake. but they do help. Come into a corner hard, turn late, the back will just slide out (sometimes), take you foot off go and then when its stable enought plant it, and steer out. easy as that Im sure all you need is an lsd and thats about it, my auto rb20de cefiro drifts hard, and ive got a gay as "foot-handbrake" that doesnt work.
