Radical SR8 @ Nurburgring

My apologies if this is a repost but if you want a quick lap of the Nurburgring . . . this is the fastest.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwtyZosuPNE

A Radical SR8 . . . the RICHER cousin to my Westfield XTR2.

A pair of GSXR-1300R Hayabusa engines put together into a 2,600cc V8 reving to 10,800 rpm

Time for an Upgrade

When the first SR8's went out to customers the engines had a compulsory factory inspection every 24 run hours. 8O

That sort of put me off . . . that and the package I wanted was over £125,000. 8O 8O

Just get an atom, they are cheaper, almost as fast and you can drive it down the road.

An Atom is almost as quick as a SR3 but nowhere near a SR8.

I've driven an Atom 220 around Old Taupo and despite it having 40+ bhp more than a Std hayabusa my XTR2 was significantly quicker.

My instructor (who was show-casing the Atom) spent the whole afternoon hogging the Westie and ignoring his official duties in the Atom.

Don't get me wrong, the Atom is very quick, quirky, and huge fun but it's aerodynamics are not good, and the engine mass is too far to the rear and much too high.

There is also a SR10 in development

You could. But I couldn't imagine a car like that without 10-11,000 rpm and paddles
