WTD: NIMM Flag Marshalls

As per usual we require the services of 14+ volunteers for the upcoming NIMM Track Day.

All this can be yours for one entire day:-


You need to be able to be at the track by 9am on the day

There will be no admittance onto the infield to take photo's, unless you are a flag marshall.

Please drop your name below if you can help and I'll put you on the list. I will send out confirmation PMs closer to the date.

I marshalled at SIMM and it was a great afternoon out on the track.

Marshalls will be allowed to go for a few laps at lunch time either in their own car or I'll see if anyone with a passenger approved car wants to run a few laps. Of course the car will be scruitineered before going on track and you will need correct overalls and helmet.
We will have a couple of drivers as marshall marshalls for your few laps.

I'll talk to James about it, am happy to do Clerk of Course for the day; do drivers/marshalls briefing, manage marshalls, the grid, etc. Would just be a normal weekend .

4pm at the latest - more often than not people have had enough by that late stage of the day.

It leaves heaps of time to clean up the place, head back to the accomodation, sink a few and get to town for the start of the Friday night drinkathon.

lol trackday is serious time, friday/saturday is time for fun!

for those who havent done it before, it beats sitting in the pits doing nothing all day, your bloody close to the action and get to see some of the boys and girls have some big moments out on the track also makes for some epic photo opportunities too as flag marshalls are the only ones allowed on the track to take photos

i do suggest a chilly bin full of beverages, a good hat and some sunscreen for the day tho, last year i got toasted pretty well

and RJ, i should be able to bring a suitable tow wagon up including towing strops etc, ill suss that next week

Oh man, worst sunburn I've ever had was from doing flag marshall at the Skope classic. Kahlua should remember. I almost ended up in the burns ward at hospital ...

I did it at SIMM two years ago, its mint. I mean, if your going to be watching then why not watch from the infield while seeing people crash off the track
