One more question - what time do you want to leave their base in Turangi. We can choose any time between 12noon and 2pm.

We'll organise a meeting point and can car pool from Taupo 45 mins before the departure time in Turangi.

Good stuff fellas. We've got ten guys so that makes two boat loads - perfect!! It means we can have our fun while watching the other boat load get tossed around too.

I've just sent the guy an email confirming we'll be onsite prior to 1:30pm ready to go. I've also asked him if there are any specfici requirements with regards to any gear we need to take with us.

Thanks for being such an easy group to organise!

So the final plan:
12noon Saturday meet at Subway Taupo (next to KFC etc on the main highway).
12:30 hit the road
13:15 arrive in Turangi
13:30 kitted up and ready to hit the water

Requirements;
Towel
Swim gear - note this is swim gear for under a wetsuit so boardies aren't really ideal. Either speedos or boxer briefs will probably be most comfortable underneath. Everything else is supplied.

God damn I can't wait to go rafting!!

Correct. Their wetsuits are quite substantial with a rain jacket, lifejacket, booties, helmet... Very well kitted out.

Jesus what grade is that?

It was a great day out on Saturday. Instant hangover cure jumping in for a dip! Deffinately keen to go again for a bigger grade.

Was definitely good fun, a higher grade rapid is on the card next time. The guides were very professional and knew what they were doing.
