In the Line of Duty - Derek Wootton

Damn shame, Senior Police officer Derek Wootton killed while trying to stop a car.

I'm sure I've talked to him before, and I've defininitely seen him around. Not a nice thing to happen to anyone just doing their job.

My father is a cop of 23years and so is my Uncle, so this hits home hard.

Nobody deserves to die at work, especially cops since they are working to keep us safe

Aye, sucks big time if he was intentionally run down. No excuse for that, copper or not.

Na, from what has been said in the media, he's affiliated with the Mob, he'll go for a skate, I hope for a very, very long time.

Re: In the Line of Duty - Derek Wootton

From what I gather on the news, he was previously charged with manslaughter but got off the charge when a key witness refused to testify....
