Whats your To-Do List For NIMM?

today at work i had a bit of time to sit around and drink coffee and think, and i got onto the topic of what i need to do to get my car ready for NIMM:

  • new 15inch wheels for daily use, swap my 14s for sammys lightweight thunderbird 1 wheels and fit semis
  • replace/skim discs and fit some ebc pads, brake fluid change
  • change a rooted inner cv
  • new headers and exhaust
  • silicone up engine mounts
  • c pillar brace
  • find a bucket seat to use so i dont fly around the cabin
  • normal maintenance things - oil n filter, plugs, coolant, g/box oil etc
so hows everyone elses lists looking?

Re: Whats your To-Do List For NIMM?

  • Get manual steering rack in.
  • Fix cross member mount.
  • Get 2 dyno runs for tuning.
  • Pray that nothing else comes up that needs fixing.
  • Save enough money.

If I get all those done in time then ill be coming.

Re: Whats your To-Do List For NIMM?

Same haha. Heres mine that I can think of:

Install Mugen headers
Install Mugen Exhaust and twinloop
Buy/install slotted rotors
Buy/install new brake pads
Put Gizzmo ecu in
Put momo seat in
Put rear strut brace on
Put rear lower brace on
Put Mugen front lip on
Sort out my suspension (at this stage ITR shocks and Jamex springs )
Plus I want to do maintenance things like oil, filter, gearbox oil, leads, plugs, coolant etc

Once exams are finished most of that list should be done and have a few more things which will be in my build.

Re: Whats your To-Do List For NIMM?

Sorted: Caliper upgrade/slotted rotors

Either:

More Motul fluid - wasted mine RBF660 too, yeah thats right 660 (wtf is the diff lol): [
Braided Lines
BCS - on the way!
F+R Strut Braces
22mm Rear Swaybar
Half decent coilovers
Formula Pads - sitting at work staring me down

And thats just so I can go round corners

Or:
Steal TuLaLit's car lol

- new wheels
- semi slicks
- front and rear adjustable camber arms
- tie bar
- maybe a 21mm blox sway bar
- harness (on the way)
- maybe a engine rebuild getting quite tired

Re: Whats your To-Do List For NIMM?

ive got a few things to buy/install before nimm:

-Install 282mm znoelli s12's and 98spec itr callipers, motul rbf600 fluid
-Buy and install blox 21mm rear sway bar and get some subframe reinforcement
-buy and install password jdm 3 point front and 2 point reaqr strut braces (when they get here )
-buy and install skunk2 intake pro manifold and get ecu chipped and tuned with crome
-decide what suspension i want and then buy and install
-gearbox fluid with mtf, oil and filter, leads maybe plugs

may be some other stuff but most of the above stuf requires a fair bit of saving haha. already have the brake setup though, just waiting on the callipers from lance (hayce)

Re: Whats your To-Do List For NIMM?

Not that much for me really:

  • Buy/Install rear sway bar(still deciding what type any ideas would be kool
  • New pads looking at some race/street pads and some new fluid
  • Headers!
  • And then the usual oil change general maintenance etc.

But I guess when somebody only races once/twice a year then they want to get everything possible done to enjoy it the most.

Re: Whats your To-Do List For NIMM?

Install new radiator fan as current is .... now in the bin
Headers collector modded to 2.5"
New 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust fitted
Chip & Tune (road and dyno)
Brake pad upgrade - some form of EBC
Hopefully different suspension setup (current is crap)

Maybe a radiator upgrade also... alloy maybe...

Re: Whats your To-Do List For NIMM?

I need to sort out brakes (prolly just give them new fluid as the pads have only had afew months use (ebc red stuff)
Upgrade to a full size alloy radiator,
Get another set of rims and slap some semis on them.
sort out new shifter and gear knob as current is crap and put in my password jdm bushes.
strip rest of tar out of car.
Maybe get a decent seat.
Then save for the billion dollars a litre gas will cost then.
