Iv already found prices and times for the ferry, worked out how much gas Ill use...

Just need to make sure car will be going and sort somewhere to stay.

Im looking at a $1000 trip :O

i was thinking about gas too, not for the trip but for the day. first time ive been to taupo or a trackday actually, is there a gas station or pump near the track? or do you just bring extra cans of fuel? dont really wanna run with a whole tank

There's a BP with 98 only 3-4 km away.

If you're running anything non-road-legal then cans are the way to go.

Last year I was doing marshalling, that was a fun day minus the sun burnt legs!!

im in. experience catergory. havent been on the track for at least a couple years. anyone got any ideas on how to travel from dunedin and take a minimum amount of days off>??

Dude, Leave Wednesday night and crash at mine, very early Thursday morning Mike(Demon) and I will be driving to picton for the 9.55 am ferry, then heading up to Taupo

Coming back on the Sunday cos Mike has work on the Monday.

You can crash at mine again on Sunday night if needed and back down to Dunners on Monday.
