Re: NIMM '08 - October 17th, 18th, 19th

So the long term weather forecast isnt looking brilliant...

Lets hope that because its only monday, their guesses as to what the week is like is incorrect! Taupo usually puts on a good show for NIMM.

Re: NIMM '08 - October 17th, 18th, 19th

I've updated the entrant list. There's a few spots left in one of the beginners sections. If they don't fill we'll split up the two beginners on the day.

Wish I could drive/had a car that was worthwhile driving.... damn it. Would hit one of the beginner spots SO hard.

Fingers crossed for excellent weather.

Re: NIMM '08 - October 17th, 18th, 19th

It depends how wet it is. I've raced down at Taupo in the wet on street tyres then changed to semis and found I had far more grip. There's so many variables though.
If it is wet or damp you just seem to find the sweet spot with regards to how hard you can push etc.

Yes it's the usual Friday night Breakers hangout, get on it, have a feed etc.

Re: NIMM '08 - October 17th, 18th, 19th

Alright guys. I'm going to have no internets from tonight till I get home on Tuesday, unless I steal someone elses on the trip somewhere (Damn work haven't got me an iPhone yet ).

Please everyone try and be at the track as EARLY as possible. We want to have every car checked out before 9am, and be racing by 9:15am. The people settings up will generally be there around 7am. We've got a much more indebth indemnity form thanks to Kiwi XTR2, which will take you longer to fill out.

If you're smart however you'll download it from here first, and bring it to the day.

Should be an awesome few days!

Looks like the playday indemnity form =D Is there scrutineering this year or is it self-scrutineering like Playday?

Yay looking forward to NIMM.

I'll be there with my film crew, filming a bit of a NZH doco. So if you see the 3 of us (2 guys and a girl) come along and say hi and if you're keen we'll do a quick interview on you to get your perspective of the club and why you are apart of it etc.

Should be a good day at the track and i'm looking forward to the drive down and back .

Self-scrutineering... unless you have a log-book fuck off, lol. Don't know what kind of muppet came up with that idea.

Will see what mechanics or bright minds are there on the day to do it . Unless anybody is wanting to put their hand up prior to the event. Just no leaks, dead brakes, cracked helmets, bald tires or non-DOT slicks, expired or unsecured harnesses, loose objects etc. Common sense really.
