can someone install my clutch for cheap?

just got my DA6 a new clutch with lightweight flywheel and am looking for hooks up for a cheap clutch install
anyone keen?

if u have everything needed to do it (tools jack axel stands etc) it will probably take about 3hours

even at a work shop it shouldnt cost u more than about $200 to do it

man thats cheap, love to know which workshop will do it for that cheap, i would say on average they will charge 6-8 hours labour, so aroind 400-500, now whether that how long it actually takes is another storey

pm me, i dont mind doing it, can do it this weekedn if u wnt

well we did mine in the weekend and it took 3 hours outside in the rain. we used axle stands and a jack and took it all out by hand.

expect to pay 60-70 labour shop. but u can find some that will do it as low as 30-35 an hour for a good job.

yeah sounds about rite, 3-4 hours, but good luck finding an honest shop

I'm in the process of getting a clutch off BTLF3D, I've been quoted 420$ (from a work shop for the install), so I guess that sounds about right

totally understand that

except this guy has built countless hondas, (EP3 24h endurance car) and has done a top job on all of them.

not working at the moment though :wink:

but on the other side of the coin 60-70 an hour doesnt mean its gonna be a good job either

^^^ Top mechanic, built the Redline performance VR4 with his son. I kept track of it while i knew him but sort of outa touch now but before redline came on board it was up close to 800hp on methanol of memory. So im pretty sure is confident with his work. 8)

DA6 takes longer then a dc-eg thou coz they got them bars that run from the front cross member sumtimes a real ass to get out but yer shouldnt take more then 4 hour's

My DA6 clutch took approx 4-5 hours to install through work, They charged mates rates $150 total. I did get a quote range from $4-500 up to Honda chch said anything up to $650-$700 8O But it always pays go to someone whos been recommened, price doesn't mean everything.

at work you would get charged 4 - 5 hours ($90ph) plus machining your flywheel which we outwork which is about $60 from memory

My friend has a very good honda mechanic and wil be able to help you out if you want it done in the weekend, worked for honda for a long time and does work on a good price basis.

id charge 4 hours, 60 per hour = 240 plus tax for install plus 60 or so for flywheel machine.

i usually do clutches for 200 cash tho. But im in chch

Jase, you did yours in 3 hours? how many guys? if there was 2 of you then thats 6 hours labour dont forget??

haha me standing there watching doesnt count as work i helped lift the box out and lift it back in thats about it. was busy with other things

he has a new clutch and flywheels so dont need to much round with that :wink:

Took me 5 hrs the first and only time I've done it in my DA6. DA's are harder to do the clutch on than ITR's, new Civics etc IMO.

i was talking bout the extra weight on my nuts, but yea that too.

the castor rod is more of a pain to put back in than take out. nowhere to put a jack against the lower arm to take the pressure off.
